Wrapping the poles throughout the room brought the whole room together and connected the room to my stop motion film. I couldn’t not wrap anything in this exhibition as this has been what this whole year has been about for me. I did not warp the two closes poles on the stage because i did not want to the wrapping to be that obvious. I liked how people could socialise against them an between them and not necessarily notice straight away. But if you stood back, the poles often channelled you to look through them and straight at my projection.
This last photo is one of my favourite as it really captures the mood and feel of the room. It was bustling and busy and where everyone was socialising. The Dj was playing throughout the evening which only added to the exciting environment. At first i was worried about having my work in this room as people might be too busy chatting to notice the work, but it meant people would subconsciously watch it through out the night and it became something different as people were always surrounding it and even within it.
